With sincerest thanks

To Olly and Krista and Doug and Judy and families for coming out to support us. And my good neighbours. Thank you thank you thank you.
I was distracted and overwhelmed so I know that I didn't say it there so hear me now...THANK YOU!!!!!!! SO VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am generally a better hostess(although this wasn't even my party!) so come back, knock on my door. I think I pointed out my house, didn't I? The damn cameras all day had me thrown...I am PHOBIC about cameras(unless I am holding it) and it was a hard day for me. More tomorrow. Goodnight.

Wow, power to the people...the people who don't use or sell drugs, the people who care about the safety of their neighbourhood, the people with the courage to right a wrong and the people who support each other along the way.

I have a good feeling about this.

It might have to become a regular event but it should work. Feeling helpless is awful but this is not helpless! This is really positive!

Hi All,

I have a post on my nanaimo-info blog highlighting your problem.
The only way to get any change is to keep making it a political issue, although it seems no one really has the answer.
If you can hire security, the problem can simply be 'moved along' into another neighbourhood.
You can view my blog at

Good luck with your campaign, but remember it usually takes many campaings to win the war.

Does anyone here know the url of the shame the johns web site??

Cheers jim

Nanaimo Info...thanks for covering us...I will find the John web site and get it up on my site this weekend and will leave it for you on yours?!?
As I understand, no "shaming" was going to start until after the rally and press coverage...fair warning and all, ya know?

Glad we could do something.

My daughter was pleased to be participating in her first protest! Sad state of affairs when a ten year old child understands what johns, hookers and addicts can do to a neighbourhood. She asked "how come we didn't do this on our street last year?"

Still, it was uplifting to meet some of your neighbours and see how everyone was able to come together peacefully. Definitely a real community worth fighting for.
Amazing how so few people can spoil it for so many others...
