from one coast to another

Cara posted this on her site, carawinsorhehir , yesterday... this is the Rescue that brought Emma to us...I love how small the world gets sometimes, don't you? My little Emma was from the same town as my new friend, Cara! So there you have it....that's all I got today...but get on over to her site and check out the art work. She's a talent and then some!

Yes, small world and getting smaller. I read an opinion column in our local paper this morning and it sounded just like some of the posts I have read. In fact, the last several writings of this columnist in particular sounded very familiar. Who knows? I may be reading his posts on-line and in the paper and never even know it.

Love Cara's art work.

How was the Yucatan Lime Soup? Thanks for visiting today. We are off to eat more birthday cake in Telluride. Same post will be up for a little longer.

Ask Cara about her grannie sometime...Cougar Annie's got nothing on her! And the magic of the internet has landed us both with amazing rescue dogs with even more amazing stories to tell.

mmm, swampwitch, well, I fudged the recipe a bit to include corn and lots of black beans, some bell peppers and it was one of the best soups I have had in a long time....thank you thank you for a new comfort food at the beginning of the rainy season....oh, I put a dollop of sour cream in each bowl, too....

I love it when someone can take a recipe, add different ingredients and come up with something of their own. I'm not creative that way. Great meal for an evening like this. I love Mesa Verde. Man in picture today just returned from a job in Cortez yesterday. Now, as for your question, just telling you where I live would be way too easy and no fun at all. Yes, it's on the Western Slope. If you scroll down or check the August Archives, you will see some of my views. Take a look and check back with me. Just a little geography fun.

It is such a small world. Thank goodness, because now you and Emma have found each other.
Now you can breathe again.
I'm so happy for you.
