A family of musicians took shelter for the night
In the little harbor church of St. Cecilia
Two guitars, bata, bass drum and tambourine
Rose of jericho and bougainvilleaThis is a lonely-lone, lonely life
Sorrows everywhere you turn
And that’s worth something
When you think about it
We are standing in the sunlight
The early morning sunlight
In the little harbor church of St. Cecilia
To praise a soul’s returning to the earth
To the rose of jericho and the bougainvillea
To prove that I love you
Because I believe in you
Summer skies, stars are falling
All along the injured coast
If I have weaknesses
Don’t let them blind me now
Summer skies, stars are falling
All along the injured coast
*Cecilia...my Gramma's name. This song (the Coast, by Paul Simon) forever merged my memory of my gramma with this flowering vine...so I bought one. Why is this tropical vine flowering this chilly October in British Columbia?
Love, love, love, infinite love.
Hi, Gramma.
I love and miss you, too, Gramma. Thank you for my flowers.

Beautiful! Willi and I went to get bedding plants in the spring and there was one hanging plant that we both fell in love with. Nobody knew what it was. It had hot pink blooms and thorns on the very woody stems. It grew very large and we so enjoyed it even though we didn't know what it was. Then Willi's mom came to visit and said, "My what a beautiful Bougainvillea you have!" So my thoughts of that plant are combined with thoughts Willi's mom. Isn't it nice how it works that way?
it is very nice...i love how the most unremarkable thing can make you remember remarkable things...not that Bougainvillea isn't remarkable, because it truly is!
